In 2022, Cat Gaddis reunited with the Downtown Charlie Brown's Blues Band and performed as a guest appearance at Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago, IL, where she received rave reviews and she appeared with Charlie at Johnny’s Blitz Bar & Grill to a standing room only crowd.
After these performances, at the age of 69, she was encouraged to come out of a twenty-year retirement and she formed The Cat Gaddis Project with four of Chicago's best blues and jazz musicians: Glover Washington, drummer, David Kellen, keyboardist, David Jordan, guitarist and Reggie Harrington, bassist,
Cat Gaddis began performing professionally at the age of 16 and at the age of 19 she moved to Chicago, IL where was the opening act for former Heavy Weight Boxing Champion, Ernie Terrell. After performing with Terrell, she moved to Miami, FL to perform with the legendary band,
Wayne Cochran and the CC Riders where she started as a background singer:

Within a year, she became the opening act with Wayne Cochran’ and the CC Riders and she performed all over the world with Cochran, appearing at numerous venues such as The Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas, The Troubadour in
Los Angeles, The Newport in Miami Beach, and The El Macombo in Toronto.

In 1979, during the disco era, Cat Gaddis was signed to TK Records as a solo artist, and later became a producer, song writer, and sound engineer under the mentorship of Sax Kari, who produced the popular disco song, “He’s Here” with Cat performing vocals as Coco with the group Poco, Flaco & Coco. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqJKw2wVioA.
During her time at TK Records, she was stable mates alongside artists such as:
Bobby Caldwell, KC and the Sunshine Band, Foxy, Betty Wright, Anita Ward, Benny Latimore, Peter Brown, Jimmy "Bo" Horne, Timmy Thomas, George and Gwen McCrae, and T-Connection,
After 10 years in Miami, Cat relocated back to Chicago, IL where she performed with: What the Funk, Downtown Charlie Brown's Blues Band, The Q-Balls, The Chi-Town Showstoppers and the Rhythm Kitchen Blues Band.
Currently, Cat Gaddis is producing and recording a four-part music release entitled “The Cycles of My Life " at Gremlen Recording Studios in Aurora, IL with engineer, Jeremy Kollross which is scheduled for release in late 2024.
