About The Cat Gaddis Project

In 2022, Cat Gaddis reunited with the Downtown Charlie Brown's Blues Band and

performed in a guest appearance at Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago, IL,  where she received rave reviews

and she also appeared at Johnny’s Blitz Bar & Grill to a standing room only crowd.

That same year, she came out of a twenty-year retirement and formed

The Cat Gaddis Project with four of Chicago's best musicians

Glover Washington, drummer, David Kellen, keyboardist, David Jordan, guitarist and Reggie Harrington, bassist.

Recently the Cat Gaddis project has added three horn players to the roster to expand her blues, jazz and R&B sound.

Cat Gaddis began performing professionally at the age of 16 and at the age of 19 she moved to Chicago, IL

where was the opening act for former Heavy Weight Boxing Champion, Ernie Terrell.

After performing with Terrell, she moved to Miami, FL to perform with the legendary band

Wayne Cochran and the CC Riders where she started as a background singer. A year later, Cat became Cochran's opening act

and she performed all over the world with Cochran, appearing at numerous venues such as:

The Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas, The Troubadour in Los Angeles,

The Newport in Miami Beach, and The El Macombo in Toronto.

During her time with Wayne and the CC Riders she appeared with them on:

The James Brown Show on TBN, Atlanta, GA

The Dinah Shore Show:  MGM Grand, Las Vegas

The Merv Griffin Show: Caesars Palace Las Vegas.

She was signed to TK Records as a solo artist, and later became a producer, song writer, and sound engineer.

During her time at TK Records, she was stable mates alongside artists such as:

Bobby Caldwell, KC and the Sunshine Band, Foxy, Betty Wright, Anita Ward, Benny Latimore,

Peter Brown, Jimmy "Bo" Horne, Timmy Thomas, George and Gwen McCrae, and T-Connection.

Cat relocated to Chicago, IL where she performed with:
